Today I feel like writing in English. Yesterday I wrote in French… Everyday is a new day and with every day comes different moods too. Sometimes I wake up feeling very down. I usually sleep 5 hours straight and then I can’t get back to sleep. I know it isn’t enough but that’s the way it is. So, lately, instead of staring at my ceiling while my brain is churning negative thoughts and over everything I need to do (yes, I also wrote it down before going to sleep…), I’ve started meditating again. Well it works! I don’t get up with a head-ache at 6 am but instead feeling relaxed. Then the first thing I do when I get downstairs, after making matcha tea, is turn on the daylight therapy lamp and it stays on for everybody while we have breakfast. It works! I take supplements to improve my inner calm and try not to drink too much coffee.
So these are my tips to chase the winter blues. I’m sure there are lots of others. Would you like to join us on Friday to hear more suggestions?
