Dear FCP members, old and new,
Our Marché pour Tous on the 5th December was a resounding success, with both
the traders and visitors enjoying a festive few hours, mulling over the gorgeous stocking fillers and the delicious treats available for tasting, accompanied by a warming tea or coffee.
It was difficult not to be tempted by the stationery, jewellery, lotions, aloe vera products, sugarcraft, sophrology vouchers, art, pottery, Christmas edibles, language books, Iranian food, healthy snacks ….
Our thanks to Deirdre Lowe for graciously hosting the event – we all know what it’s like to try and have our house organised by 9am and Deirdre certainly stepped up to the mark.
The fantastic tombola, organised by Agnès, with contributions from both the traders and local businesses was initially won by Rachel de Chabert, who generously offered to share it and allow a second draw. All in the wonderful spirit of Christmas! Thanks, Rachel.
We raised around 250€ for Souffle 9, which helps families dealing with autism, as well as money which will be going directly to other chosen charities.
All in all, an excellent start to the festive season and certainly an event to be repeated by the FCP.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you Helen for helping me! We will soon send out ideas for cafés in 2015. Enjoy your holiday season!
