You’re probably wondering why « good morning Boulanger »? Weird, I know, but I’m so happy that they came this morning at 7:30 to change my oven! It broke down 2 weeks ago and I’m a little fed up with barbecuing every evening. Although the weather has been lovely but that won’t last (being realistic here)! Yes, there are good services in France! I’m also looking forward to
my first grocery delivery tonight. Thanks to the Parisienne race, I got all of these gifts from sponsors so I used my « coupon de Bienvenue » for ooshop. I hope I’m not disappointed. If I am, I will try « carrefour drive » in Chambourcy but I’m not sure it’s functioning… I will still go to a local farmer’s market for fruit and veggies but at least the big and heavy stuff will be delivered to me (I hate buying toilet paper so I stock up on a huge amount and put it in my garage).
What else is making my life much easier? Carpooling!! It should required. Why not reduce people’s taxes if they carpool! Seriously, it makes me so upset to see all those cars blocking the traffic with only one person in it. I love carpooling lanes in the US. We used them a lot over the summer. They should do this everywhere! I’m happy to have found a family to carpool with. I have an extra hour for myself every day and that is precious. I can finally write in my blog after so long.
So HELLO! I’m back. It’s been a crazy 2 weeks too because I’m slowly oozing into professional life. I started teaching English to children and applied for other English teaching positions. Proud to have my SIRET number. Yes, I’m an « auto-entrepreneur » now. I needed it for one of my jobs. That’s all I have for now and I don’t know what the heck I’m going to do with it! so I bought the book « L’auto-entrepreneur pour les NULS »! I’m not ashamed to admit that this is the case: I have no clue what to do next. But I have many resources besides the book. Two wonderful groups of women: Femmepreneurs and Message Entrepreneurs. I love you guys!
I also have to admit I’ve been a little under the weather lately. I had a fun and exciting summer but not at all relaxing! I’m finally getting much needed better sleep, exercise, and diet. Next summer the kids will go to a summer camp. What was I thinking taking care of them all summer 24h a day?! I really needed a break from them. So grateful for the rentrée so that I can get myself back in physical and mental shape! I love my kids but…I’m sure you understand.
Now, for the « cafés », I’m still not organized for that yet. I have a new VP (VIP!) and she’s not ready either! However we promise to have a « welcome-back-to-school-year life » café in October. Sorry, it’s the only name I could come up with. I hope you are all doing well and you are happy. Remember to find time for yourselves. Use these great services we have available and carpool! The extra money you may spend will really make a difference. You need to be healthy and happy and everything else will eventually fall into place naturally. Don’t stress! Do something you love like walking in the forest. That’s what I do with Ina, my dog, and it’s so uplifting.
Have a peaceful and sunny day.
This picture was taken in the Vercors mountains end of August. We went on a wonderful hike that day and walked about 12 km. It was a lot for the children but they were so proud of themselves after that!
