First of all a very Happy Father’s Day to you or your other halves or your fathers! Fathers are so special in our lives and our children’s lives. My father passed away when my son was 7 months old. They both have so many traits in common! Both are color blind, both have a fun sense of humor, same grimaces, same stubbornness! It’s amazing how my father is so present through my son.
My husband is a wonderful father and husband. Today I want to praise him because I was busy at a week-end workshop in Paris and he took care of the children. They had activities and birthday parties. It all went fine. Thank you David! The kids have so much fun with you!
Our next and last « café » for the 2014 school year is this Friday June 20 in Villennes sur Seine. Please rsvp to me or to Lizzie Harwood. It will take place at her house. If you don’t know her address, please ask us!
Here’s a reminder of what it will be about:
« Everyone has a book in them. » Do you like to write? Come and hear from two published writers, Lizzie Harwood and Jennie Goutet, talk about how they’ve managed to write books while juggling the demands of life.
“There’s a secret that real writers know that wannabe writers don’t, and the secret is this: It’s not the writing part that’s hard. What’s hard is sitting down to write. What keeps us from sitting down is Resistance”.
Stephen Pressfield, The War of Art
Learn more about how to plan your writing time and decide what you’d like to write. We’ll talk about how to approach and structure different types of books — from memoir to fiction novels (including genre fiction such as historical, detective (polars) or romance) to non-fiction where you are writing about an area of expertise in order to promote your brand or products.
Please rsvp to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and bring a friend or two. (5€ per person which covers coffee, tea, and pastries.)
Have a great week and see you on Friday!
